March 2017

Spring is, hopefully, arriving at the University of Chester

University of Chester students and Chester Students' Union joined forces recently with Cllr Bob Rudd to help Spring Clean the Garden Quarter.  Over 60 students took part in a big clean up and also helped move bigger items for local residents.

At the University we have a Travel Plan Strategy which promotes sustainable travel choices at the University. You can see the Strategy here  We know that the residents of Chester would like to see less cars in the city and so we promote cycling to our students.  Recently, PC Jack Bostock arranged for some bikes that have been passed to the police and not collected to be upcycled at the University  to be offered to our students who might not be able to afford a bike.
